          Plasma Exhibition, Idea Showcasing and Innovation Fest

          Institute of Plasma Research , Ahammadabad, NIT Calicut- Kozhikode, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Kozhikode, jointly organize Plasma Exhibition, Idea Showcasing and innovation fest for schools/students at NIT Kozhikode from 4th to 8th September 2023.

          The “CurioCon” Exhibition aims to provide a platform for schools, students,Teachers and Publics to explore the Plasma –fourth state of matter, showcase innovative ideas and projects of school children, connects the experts and scientists. The event will take place at SOMS, NIT Kozhikode from September 4th to 8th, 2023.

          Instruction

          The Instruction for Schools and students regarding the participation for idea showcasing and innovation fest are given here.

          • The students with innovation skills from Atal Tinkering Labs ( ATL ) , Edumission Innovation Labs ( EMIL ) , SSK and Jilla Panchayat established Innovation Labs are eligible for the idea showcasing and innovation fest.
          • The winners of Inspire Manak and YIP schemes during the academic year / season 2021-22 or 2022-23 are also elegible for participating for Idea Showcase and Innovation Presentation at NIT , Kozhikode from 5th to 8th September. Exhibitions and seminars are held at various venues in the School of Management Studies ( S O M S ) at NIT Calicut, Kozhikode in connection with Curiocone – Plasma exhibition and Innovation fest.
          • All the schools with ATL / EMIL / Tinkering and Innovation Labs including Government , Aided , Unaided, CBSE, ICSE schools in the district will be allowed to participate in the exhibition and innovation fest if they are registered through the Google forms circulated for the same.
          • Inspire / YIP district level winners from the above mentioned schools can participate individually / group ( a team of two students ) in the Curiocon Idea fest and Innovation Presentation.
          • The concerned school / students should submit the required information in specific google form circulated to schools before 22nd August.
          • Students from schools selected by the Curiocon Judging Committee will only have the opportunity to participate in the exhibition and presentation.
          • Selected schools and students can participate in idea showcasing and presentation on September 5 , 6 , 7,8 ( 4 days only ) as part of the plasma exhibition to be held from September 4 to 8 , 2023.
          • The participating schools should upload the certificate that proving they have an ATL Lab and the students should submit their certificate obtained for INSPIRE / YIP district level awards in the prescribed Google form before 22 th August.
          • Selected schools / students will be informed their eligibility of participation , time and Date.
          • Each school / student should register directly at the counter on the allotted day for the exhibition using the code number / barcode mailed in selection letter and obtain an ID card for Exhibition.
          • The registration time for Idea Showcasing and Exhibition is scheduled to 9.00 am to 9.30 am every day.
          • The selected schools with ATL , EMIL , SSK , Jillapanchayath tinkering labs can display maximum of 4 items in stalls allotted to them.
          • Only selected student’s idea / model exhibited in the Idea Exhibition will be allowed the opportunity for plenary presentation in stage at AN.
          • Devices / prototypes / working models using kits or materials provided in the ATL labs or other tinkering labs or devices / prototypes / working models based on ideas suggested in the themes proposed in INSPIRE and YIP programs can be selected and exhibited for idea showcasing.
          • Selected presenters should prepare and submit a digital presentation and an abstract of idea / innovation in 2 pages in Malayalam / English medium.
          • Maximum 8 minutes permitted to individual / group presentation . An additional 3 minutes time will be allowed to clear the doubts from the audience.
          • Certificates and Collector’s Award for best presentation will be given to students and schools participating in idea showcasing and presentation.

          About DIET

          DIET KOZHIKODE

          DIET Kozhikode is located at Vadakara, about 50 km from Kozhikode city. Kozhikode DIET is located at Puthur in Vadakara Municipality at the northern end of Kozhikode district. It is also known as the Vadakara Diet. This teacher training center is located in the heart of the northern part of the state, The old Vadakara TTI became a DIET in 1991.

          There are 1,237 schools in Kozhikode district including 191 high schools. Of these, 1205 are public schools. In 1877, a school for young princes was started in Kozhikode. It was later opened to all caste Hindu boys. In 1879 it was affiliated to the University of Madras as a second class college, thus completing the district’s college education. Secondary education has shown remarkable progress since 1915.
